- I submitted three comprehensive H&Ps and presented two of them on different days in my Site Evaluation for Surgery. I also had to present ten pharm drug cards, and scientific journal articles relevant to the case.
- My presentation had many mistakes, the presentation in surgery is a bit different than previous ones. I talked about a post-operative patient, and I was having some trouble formulating the HPI in a chronologically coherent way. My assessment was not complete. The patient was complaining of acid reflex and I should have added it to the assessment as well and not just in the plan.
- During my first site evaluation, my differential diagnosis were not organized by highest probable to lowest.
- The Site Evaluator commented that I had improved in my second site evaluation, but that I still had to work on the HPI for the pertinent positive and negative.
- I plan to continue working on improving my patient presentation skills by continuing to present in rounds, and take notes from the feedbacks from my preceptors, and peers.
- I plan to continue working on improving my differential diagnosis skills by continuing to read and look up different diseases and conditions on my own and as I encounter them in practice.
- I plan to continue working on improving my assessments and plans by continuing to ask and listen to the feedback I get from my preceptors, and peers.
