- This is a case report article for rare disease
- The biopsy showing spindle cell carcinoma, a rare type of pulmonary sarcomatoid carcinoma, does not have specific standard treatment.
- This article discussed the long-term survival of a patient who used traditional Chinese medicine as alternative to chemotherapy, surgery, etc
- The herbal treatment consist of Ma-xing-shi-gan (MXSG) decoction, improved the patient’s cough
- This is a case report of a single patient’s outcomes, which would not reflect the general population, however, it is a good start for such a rare disease.
- I thought it was a good case report for my case since in the end my patient did not survive past the operating table.
